Amidst all the justified Labour excitement, with the Blairites eating lashings of humble pie, a classic line from Channel 4’s Gary Gibbon on confused ministers swept along on the tide of optimism:

Jeremy Corbyn has resoundingly proved wrong all those people who said he couldn’t win an election. Although he seems to have done this by not winning an election.
